This Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Renaissance Speakers!

“Try me, good King, but let me have a Lawful Trial…”

  • Excerpt from a letter written by Anne Boleyn two weeks before her execution.

Anne Boleyn is one of the most intriguing figures in British history. Her love-match with Henry VIII and her subsequent execution at the Tower of London after only three years of marriage have inspired dozens of books and films.

Was she a ruthless schemer or was her death simply a tragic consequence of court politics?

The life and times of Ms. Boleyn will be the theme of our meeting, hosted by Serena McCullough, an English history enthusiast.

Every week, our meetings include:

  • Prepared speeches by our members,
  • Helpful and constructive coaching of the speeches, and
  • Impromptu speaking practice.

And we always have a lot of fun doing it!
