Renaissance Speakers members, Jo Lauricella, Glenn Broadus and George Alger, helped create the Artists For A Better World (AFABW) 2010 annual Holiday Event at Celebrity Centre International.
Jo was the MC for the event, which included music, singing, dancing, caroling, speeches, fine art and plenty of food.
Glenn was the featured speaker of the evening, enlightening the audience about Toastmasters and the Renaissance Speakers and inviting them to attend a club meeting on any Sunday morning at 9am, in the same venue. (The AFABW Holiday Event was also held in the Celebrity Centre Theatre).
George has been the President of Artists For A Better World International since the turn of the century and tonight he gave a talk about some of the AFABW books and other properties which include global poets, writers, musicians and visual artists.
Members of the Renaissance Speakers have been helping AFABW and its efforts to create a better world through aesthetics since the 1990’s, and have been regular participants in the annual AFABW Arts Festival in the fall of each year, also at Celebrity Centre International.
To mark the occasion, as part of tonight’s event, Jo, Glenn and George accepted a Commendation Award from AFABW, on behalf of the Renaissance Speakers club.
